Power generation
The Mundra Thermal Power Project was conceived to provide power for the captive consumption of APSEZ in Mundra. Thereafter the vision and the capabilities of the promoters has made Mundra Power project on the largest single location Coal based Thermal Power Station in India and one of the top five in the World. All the nine units of Mundra power plant have been commissioned one after the another in shortest possible time of 33 months.
Power transmission
APL has already developed and commissioned 400 KV D/C dedicated Mundra - Dehgam transmission line of 430 Kms, which is the longest dedicated transmission line by a private sector player.
APL has set up 1000 Kms ± 500 KV HVDC transmission system for supply of power to HPCC with state DISCOMS as beneficiaries. This is the first HVDC transmission line by private sector in the country. Along with this, APL is also developed a dedicated 50km 400kV Mohindergarh-Bhiwani transmission line for supply of power to Haryana.
