Nachdem bereits im Juni 2020 am neu gebauten Standort in Schleusingen eine Weißglaswanne in Betrieb ging, sollte nun im Januar 2022 eine Braunglaswanne folgen. Den Produktionsstart dieser Schmelzwanne müssen wir leider aus verschiedenen Gründen in das zweite Quartal verschieben. Das verringert unsere Braunglaskapazität erheblich, da bereits in der Weihnachtswoche die alte Schmelzwanne am Standort Schleusingen außer Betrieb ging.
Explodierende Preise für Energie und Rohstoffe als wesentlicher Treiber
Die Versorgungslage und die Kostensituation bei Roh-, Hilfs- und Betriebsstoffen hat sich dramatisch zugespitzt, sodass hier ein erhebliches betriebswirtschaftliches Risiko besteht. Weiterhin sind die Krankenstände bereits heute außerordentlich hoch und eine fünfte Corona-Welle mit der hochinfektiösen Omikronvariante liegt vor uns. Die Gefahr, dass ein geregelter Betriebsablauf nicht mehr gewährleistet werden kann und Linien abgeschaltet werden müssen, steigt dadurch stark an.
Wir bitten alle unsere Kunden, Partner und Mitarbeiter um Verständnis für diese schwierige Entscheidung. Nach Abwägung der Risiken wäre kein geregelter Start im Januar möglich. Der endgültige neue Inbetriebnahmetermin hängt stark von der Versorgungslage, der Entwicklung der neuerlichen Corona-Welle und insbesondere der Preissituation an den Energiemärkten ab.
