Onyx Solar, a leader in the development of photovoltaic glass for sustainable construction, announces the installation of its technology in PepsiCo's new distribution and logistics center in Puebla, Mexico.
The installation consists of 670 m² of crystalline silicon photovoltaic glass manufactured by Onyx Solar, which integrated perfectly into the PepsiCo building, all with a blue ceramic frit to adapt to the company's aesthetic requirements. It has a ventilated façade on the two main sides of the building and two adjacent canopies.
The installation of photovoltaic glass in this center in Puebla is an important step forward in PepsiCo's commitment to sustainability and reducing its environmental impact. It is estimated that the installation will generate more than 90,000 kWh of clean energy each year, equivalent to a reduction of 35 tons of CO2 in annual emissions.
"We are very pleased to have been chosen by PepsiCo to supply and install our photovoltaic solar panels at their Puebla plant," said Álvaro Beltrán, CEO of Onyx Solar. "This installation is an example of how Onyx Solar's innovative technology can help companies reduce their carbon footprint and move towards sustainability."
Onyx Solar has partnered with PepsiCo on this important renewable energy project and to contribute to the fight against climate change. The installation of solar photovoltaic glass in the Puebla building is an example of how Onyx Solar's solar technology can help companies reduce their environmental impact and energy costs, while improving their sustainability reputation.
