Histoire de l´entreprise
The German Society of Glass Technology (DGG) conducts and promotes the technical and scientific research in the field of production, processing, finishing and application of glass. In order to achieve these objectives the following tasks are carried out:
- Listing and documentation of research results, innovations, new techniques of application and of new material in all fields which are of interest to the production, manufacturing and processing of glass;
- Promotion of contacts and the exchange of experience between scientists and technicians;
- Co-ordination of practice-oriented projects conducted to solve problems relating to the production, the processing, the finishing and application of glass as well as to the environment protection;
- Promotion of research and teaching in the field of glass technology and other neighbouring areas;
- Promotion of the development of pertinent standards and guidelines;
- Promotion of the exchange of experience in the field of glass history and design;
- Promotion of the international co-operation by membership to the International Commission on Glass (ICG) and the European Society of Glass Science and Technology (ESG).
