Histoire de l´entreprise

The department of Inorganic-Nonmetallic Materials is enganged in teaching and research on technology, processes and plants for the production of innovative glass and ceramics products.

We investigate the entire chain of the production processes, starting from raw materials, processing, and shaping of products to end of life management.
One focus of our resarch are interface reactions, which play a vital role e.g. in

  •  corrosion and degradation
  •  composites
  •  conditioning of surfaces.

Surface design is the key to higher quality and opens the way to new applications.
