Magnificent technology for highest demands

When we at Polytype speak of superb print quality, the focus is on the highest resolution, strikingly brilliant colors, and high-precision positioning of every single drop. VIRTU allows you both to print minute detail and font sizes in resolutions of up to 1,200 dpi with pin-sharp quality and to increase productivity as desired by selecting parameters accordingly.

This quality and versatility becomes possible because in terms of our printers we really thought of every imaginable detail:

• Exceptionally robust, stable frame that cannot be “shaken” by anything
• Absolutely flat printing table, allowing the printheads to work very precisely
• Maintenance-free, dynamic linear motors for highest possible printing speed
• The latest generation of printheads featuring piezo drop-on-demand inkjet technology for ultra-fine ink drops
• Specially developed UV inks that are adjusted perfectly not only to the printheads but also to the respective substrates and fields of application.

Decorating Product Lines

Polytype has always been, and continues to be, as innovator in the designing and manufacturing of print-finishing machines for round packaging. Today, we can apply coatings to the inside and outside of collapsible tubes, cans, and containers made of aluminium or plastic, to provide an attractive image as well as additional properties. In fact, our customer are manufacturers of collapsible tubes, cans and containers of all shapes and sizes for the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food and other industries.

Of course, we offer you the appropriate inks, specially developed for the respective application intended, for
instance, to print on glass, mesh, or aluminum composite boards. Beyond that, VIRTU features its own software
that processes image files for printing. An essential element of the printing system, this software contributes
considerably to the superb print quality and efficiency of VIRTU.

Suitable ink for any material
We are developing our inks in cooperation with ink manufacturers, custom-tailored to the respective application:

• Inks for flexible or rigid materials
• For printing on glass
• For interior and exterior applications
• White as spot color or for sub or top printing

VIRTU VETRO INKS offer perfect adhesion to glass in a very elegant range of colours and precise dot positioning. Technical designs of dots and lines to multiple coloured designs prefered by architects of residential buildings and shopping areas are possible with an ingenious colour management system set in place by the trained application engineer team in Polytype.
