Introduction
AR coatings are enhancing the efficiency of the most PV modules and within 3-5 years the AR market will be completely developed.
The today’s total market for AR glass is about 30-35 Mio. m² pa.
AR today is, besides the traditional Structuring, Wet etching, Sol gel and Sputtering methods whereas Sol gel has the most potential but the most durable and cost efficient new process will lead the pace.
Increasing acceptance for AR products, more AR products, increasing competition and the pressure from the PV industry will drive the sales price for AR down. The AR price will reach the production costs with a reasonable markup long term.
