Our Thyristor Power Controllers of the Thyro-Family control electrical power, current or voltage with high precision and reproducibility and can be used for all applications where

Our latest product series, the Thyro-Family, a fully digital SCR-based Power Controller series, operate in many applications around the world where they demonstrate quality, reliability, reproducibility and accuracy around the clock. A wide range of communication protocols enable communication between the controllers, and with higher-level control systems. For reasons of continuity within the series, the contollers operate at a power range up to 2900A and voltages up to 690V, allowing customers to select the right device for their application requirements.

Thyro-Family – made for glass

Get to know the complete product portfolio of our Thyro-Family power controller series. AEG Power Solutions offers you tailor-made solutions for all your application needs. The complete range of Thyro-Family include only three major classes (Thyro-S, Thyro-A and Thyro-P) having nominal currents up to 2900A and supported voltages up to 690V. This wide spectrum allows you to select the correct device that fits your application requirements. Power Controllers of the Tyro-Family are well-equipped to meet the demands of the future, as they possess unique communication capabilities. In addidtion TCP/IP based communication protocols such as ProfiNet, Ethernet IP and Modbus TCP/IP are being prepared.

Thyro-P

A communication-enabled digital controller, our user-friendly Thyro-P thyristor power controller accurately controls and regulates currents, voltages, and power. Many years of experience in the field of power controllers have gone into the development of our high-end Thyro-P with its wide voltage and current range. With several operating modes and regulating and recording functions, this power controller has paved the way for the future providing a wide range of applications in the field of thermo-processing technology. Thyro-P can operate as a stand-alone unit or in combination with process controls, PLC, or automation systems via various bus interfaces (Profibus-DP, CANOpen, DeviceNet and ModBus RTU). In addidtion TCP/IP based communication protocols such as ProfiNet, Ethernet IP and Modbus TCP/IP are being prepared.

Thyro-A

Versatile, configurable and communication-enabled, Thyro-A is a ready-to-plug-in digital thyristor controller with the following operating modes: full-wave cycle principle (Thyrotakt), phase-control principle (Thyrovar) and Quick-Takt-Mode QTM (for 1-phase devices). Product features include an integrated semiconductor fuse, bus interface, and optional power regulation as well as many monitoring functions and a mains load optimizing feature (via Thyro-Power Manager or directly in QTM operation mode). It can be operated as a stand-alone system or in combination with process controls, PLC, or automation systems via various bus interfaces (Profibus-DP, CANOpen, DeviceNet and ModBus RTU). In addidtion TCP/IP based communication protocols such as ProfiNet, Ethernet IP and Modbus TCP/IP are being prepared.

Thyro-A…C02 (VSC - Voltage Sequence Control Power Controller)

The Thyro-A…C02 devices are designed for two-step, primary sequence control. Generally, a Thyro-A 1A…C02 consists of two single-phase Thyro-A 1A devices. In phase-angle or VAR operating mode, the level control of both devices depends on the set point. Stage 1 (Master) operates from 0% to x%, whereas stage 2 (Slave) operates additionally from x% to 100%. The x% and a possible overlap can be set (subject to the used transformer).

Thyro-S

Safe, fast, contactless and communication-enabled, the Thyro-S, digital thyristor switches with integrated semiconductor fuse, can be operated as a stand-alone system or combined with process controllers or PLCs also via bus interface (Profibus-DP, CANOpen, DeviceNet and ModBus RTU). In addidtion TCP/IP based communication protocols such as ProfiNet, Ethernet IP and Modbus TCP/IP are being prepared.
